THE BRIEF
A bright and playful brand identity created for Positive Steps Playgroup, an early-years playgroup designed to provide a welcoming environment where young children can play, grow and learn.
The visual identity was developed to appeal equally to young children and their parents, balancing a fun, approachable personality with a clean and professional aesthetic. The three colourful circles form the heart of the brand, with teal, lime and coral representing the key stages of Play, Grow and Learn. Friendly handwritten typography adds warmth and personality, while the contemporary wordmark keeps the overall identity fresh and recognisable.
The branding was extended into a complete visual system across business cards, promotional flyers, seasonal activity campaigns, website design and branded merchandise, including children’s T-shirts, backpacks and water bottles. Consistent colours, typography and graphic elements connect each application while allowing individual campaigns—such as Easter and Chinese New Year activities—to have their own character.
The project demonstrates how a simple identity can grow into a flexible family-focused brand, creating consistency across both digital and physical touchpoints while retaining the energy, optimism and creativity of early childhood.
Play. Grow. Learn. Take positive steps towards a brighter future.
